Rachel L. Koutishian

Rachel Koutishian is a New Jersey native who focuses her practice on complex litigation, land use, transactional work, and real estate.

Rachel graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, her primary instrument being flute. While at Rowan University, she was the principal flautist in the Rowan University Orchestra and the Rowan University Wind Ensemble, as well as a featured soloist.

Rachel then attended law school at Widener Delaware School of Law. During her studies she interned at the New Jersey Office of Parental Representation, where she litigated Title 9 and Title 30 actions brought by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency. She also interned at Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, focusing on criminal expungements to assist prior felons in gaining meaningful employment.

Rachel then graduated Widener Delaware Law School with a pro bono distinction, an honor which requires significant pro bono legal work within the community.

After law school, Rachel clerked for the Honorable M. Susan Sheppard, Presiding Judge of Chancery in Atlantic and Cape May Counties. During her clerkship, Rachel became a certified mediator for the Superior Court, Civil Part.

Rachel is currently an active member of the local legal community, as a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association, the Vincent S. Hanemann Inn of Court, and the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Atlantic County Bar Association.
