Since that time, the Supreme Court has not issued a subsequent Order further extending deadlines.Perhaps this signals confidence that our courts and attorneys have become sufficiently adept working remotely and using virtual platforms for conferences, oral argument and various other court proceedings.Perhaps it also is a sign of the beginning of the return to our new normal.During this transition period, Municipal Courts are beginning to hold remote proceedings and the Law Division and Criminal Division continue to hear many matters and conduct case management through remote platforms.Nevertheless, under the Second Omnibus Order, civil and criminal trials remain suspended indefinitely. Also, Special Civil Part, Small Claims and Landlord/Tenant calendars also remain suspended through May 31, 2020.
