The Avalon Planning Board approved the application for the project in the "High Dunes" section of the Borough which is subject to separate ordinance requirements.

If the home sells for the full price of $24,990,000, it will be the highest priced home ever to sell in Avalon. While home sales in Avalon are consistently ranked among the highest priced in New Jersey, the median sales price in June 2023 was only $3.1 million, according to Realtor.com.

Listing Agent Jack Vizzard says a "powerful combination" of factors contribute to the high sale prices, including the large lot size, the West Coast style of the home, its remarkable height and unparalleled privacy.

The home is designed by architect Mark Asher of Asher Slaunwhite + Partners, being constructed by Seaside Builders & Development, and decorated by Kiersten Marie Interiors. The project is expected to be completed in Spring 2024.
